Unelected EU officials

Not all countries vote directly for their prime ministers or head of state. Who voted for the British head of state, the Queen? The EU commission is nominated by EU members’ prime ministers, all duly elected by their respective voters and parliaments. Parliaments and governments exist to carry out the will of the voters, at national and international level. If you disagree with them, let them know and vote for somebody else next time. But while they are in office, they can nominate EU officials, like they nominate ambassadors all around the world – or should we vote for each ambassador, each time? Let’s lay to rest this hoary chestnut of unelected EU officials
